Just a jellyfish showing off its bioluminescent organs to over two million guests annually.
But little do we think about the millions of years this feature took to get to where it is today. Bioluminescence is essential for innumerable functions for these creatures from attracting prey to communicating. Very frankly, bioluminescence exists primarily because of evolution.
